At Poggio La Noce we produce a very high-quality extra virgin olive oil of extraordinary purity. Our organic extra virgin olive oil is an excellent way of finishing your dish with the healthiest condiment you could find. It completes just about any Italian recipe by giving it more body, smoothness and a natural Mediterranean aroma, which is expected on every table.
We fertilize and care for our 2,000 olive trees exclusively with organic-certified products and prune by hand. With only 2,000 olive trees, Our farm uses traditional picking methodology, hand picking each olive in its prime state of ripeness. Hand picking preserves the intensity of our olive oil due to optimum ripeness of the olive when it is plucked from the branch. In addition, hand picking enables a more accurate selection of the fruit and without damaging the tree.
Once picked, we personally take the olives to the press each evening of every harvesting day to preserve all the fragrance of the olives.
Our olives are pressed within 24 hours of picking, using modern cold press methodology.
